Dead Font Book
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/770652?start=0&tstart=0
To reinstall all of OS X’s fonts without having to reinstall the entire OS, follow the instructions at the bottom of my article, Font Management in Mac OS X Tiger and Panther.
To clear the font cache files, download and run Font Finagler. For Microsoft Office, you need to manually remove its two font cache files. The are located here. The tilde (~) represents your home folder.
~/Library/Caches/com.microsoft.browserfont.cache
~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office Font Cache (11)
Lastly, Font Book’s database may also be damaged. Follow the steps in Undoing Font Book.
There are two common causes for Font Book crashing (or immediately quitting) upon launch.
The first problem is caused by a corrupt Font Collection file which causes an exception when Font Book tries to unarchive it. (You may also be unable to show the Font Panel in applications that use it). This problem is usually limited to a particular user account. To resolve it, go to your /Users/~/Library/FontCollections/ folder and remove any non-default .collection files there; you should be able to keep the following:
Chinese.collection
Classic.collection
Fixed Width.collection
Fun.collection
Japanese.collection
Korean.collection
Modern.collection
PDF.collection
Web.collection“com.apple.Favorites.collection” and “com.apple.Recents.collection” are the two most common collections that can cause problems.
Another problem that usually results in Font Book quitting or crashing immediately on launch is caused by the fact that it’s missing its “MainMenu.nib” interface file. If you open up the Console application (in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder) and look as you launch Font Book it should say something similar to the following:
<pre>2007-01-08 19:55:48 Font Book[3075] Unable to load nib file: MainMenu, exiting
2007-01-08 19:55:48 Font Book[3075] * +[NSFileManager closeCatalog]:
selector not recognized
2007-01-08 19:55:48 Font Book[3075] An uncaught exception was raised</pre>To fix this problem, you’ll need to get Pacifist to re-install the Font Book application from your OS X Tiger install disc. Then, you should download the latest version of the OS X Combo Update (currently OS X 10.4.8 Combo) and re-apply that over top of your existing OS X installation.

AE Pie Chart Script
http://aescripts.com/easy-pie-chart/
The principle is based on the use of a list to fill out representing the values and labels of the pie chart slices.
The number of values is limitless, only the clarity and readability of the chart are to take into account.
The basic editing functions are included for an easy management of the list items:Add: Insert item into the list.
Remove: Delete the selected item from the list.
Up: Move the selected list item up.
Down: Move the selected list item down.
Edit: Edit selected list item.
Clear: Clear the list.Functions ‘Load’ and ‘Save’ the list data are also provided:
Only .csv .txt or .xml file format is accepted.
Fields are separated by commas with quotation marks as text separator.
To know which XML mapping is used in this script, see the example .xml file provided in this package.Additional options are added such as:
Counterclockwise: opens the pie chart anticlockwise. By default the pie chart opens in the clockwise direction.
Inner radius: specify the inner radius of the pie chart. The value corresponds to the percentage of the inside radius of the pie. By default it’s full, so at 0%.
Inner radius lock: Lock the inside radius of the pie chart slices.
Outer radius: specify the outer radius of the pie chart. The value corresponds to the percentage of the outside radius of the pie. By default it’s at 100%.
Outer radius lock: Lock the outside radius of the pie chart slices.
Ram preview: automatically runs a ram preview of the animation. The color of each part is randomly assigned and easily editable and all the parameters of the pie chart can be set and animated by keyframes.
This project uses a lot of expressions, which allows quick changes.Note: This version of the script requires After Effects CS3 or later.
Note: It can be used as a dockable panel by placing the script in a ScriptUI Panels subfolder of the Scripts folder, and then choosing this script from the Window menu.
Note: Before you can use the save function you need to check for the “Allow scripts to write files” preference. In ‘Preferences’ > ‘General’ > enable ‘Allow Scripts to Write Files and Access Network’.
Runs on Mac and PC in the same way, tested on CS5, CS5.5 and CS6.
